Ooomeringues: the idea
The idea of Ooomeringues came from Hannah’s access to many eggs laid by the happy hens on the farm where she lives, in Mid Wales. Meringues, which are increasing in popularity and consist mainly of egg whites, soon became the favoured product to add value to the farm eggs. Hannah started cooking and experimenting…… with all sort of shapes, sizes and flavours!!
The name
The name Ooomeringues came after many attempts of name suggestions. Then one day…
“I happened to be at a food festival selling and promoting a range of exciting products. I noticed people would walk past other stands not taking much notice and then would suddenly shout out 'Ooo yum, Ooo wow, Ooo look at that, Ooo chocolate, Ooo pudding, Ooo MERINGUES!!!” That was it! Ooomeringues was born.
